Pedaling with Purpose: Dallas Ansar Journey to the 2026 National Ijtema

Alhamdolillah, three Ansar from the Dallas Jama’at Ammar Bin Talha, Dr. Jariullah, and myself (Muizz Momen) embarked on an unforgettable journey to the National Majlis Ansarullah Ijtema, participating in the Ride to Ijtima 2026. Choosing two wheels over four, our trio transformed the trip into a meaningful pilgrimage marked by endurance, spiritual focus, and deep brotherhood.

Our ride was structured so participants could choose a one-day or two-day route depending on their arrival schedule. Arriving on Wednesday, September 23, we opted for the full two-day challenge, taking on a completely paved route with zero off-road terrain. On Thursday, September 24, we covered 58 road miles on Day 1, followed by another 16 road miles on Friday, September 25 for Day 2. We completed our journey by rolling into Baitur Rahman around 11:00 AM on Friday, well in time to prepare for Jummah prayers.

Throughout the event, we were blessed to stay at Masjid Masroor. Having a peaceful home base at the mosque allowed us to rest, reflect, and recharge after demanding hours in the saddle. The warm hospitality and spiritual atmosphere provided a seamless transition from physical exertion to the spiritual nourishment of congregational prayers and Ijtema sessions.

For our Dallas delegation, this ride was far more than an athletic endeavor it was a testament to vitality, discipline, and unity within Majlis Ansarullah. Pedaling side by side reinforced the blessing of fraternity and shared purpose. May Allah reward everyone who organized and supported the ride, and may He inspire even more brothers to join us on the road next year, Insha’Allah. Jazakumullah Ahsanal Jaza.

Flyer Distribution by Youth of AMC Dallas

These are the flyers being distributed by the youth of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dallas Chapter at the Dallas Museum of Art, inviting people to reflect on the topic of Sharia law, which has recently become a subject of discussion in our community.

Our message is one of peace, mutual understanding, and unity-following the beautiful Quranic principle:

“Say, ‘O People of the Book! Come to a word equal between us and you.'”

– The Holy Quran, 3:65

We believe that people of different faiths and backgrounds can come together on common ground, respect one another, and work together for the betterment of our country.

Meeting with Richardson Mayor Amir Omar

We had a meeting with Richardson Mayor Amir Omar. He shared that his father is Palestinian and his mother is Iranian. Although he is a Muslim, he mentioned that he has never felt the need to ask about the differences between Sunni and Shia.

The Mayor appreciated the meeting and expressed interest in collaborating on a tree-planting project in Richardson. His vision is to bring together people from different faith communities to work side by side for the benefit of the city.

He also expressed interest in participating in activities at our mosque, and we should invite him to one of our upcoming events.

I also requested a future meeting to formally present him with our book and flyers package in the presence of the City Manager. In addition, I requested a separate meeting with the Police Chief to further strengthen our relationship.

Faith and Unity: Dallas Jama’at Gathers for Inspiring Address by Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad

On Saturday, July 25, 2026, members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dallas gathered in beautiful harmony at the Baitul Ikram Mosque in Allen, Texas. Over 60 members came together to watch a deeply inspiring address delivered by our beloved Holy Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (may Allah be his Helper). The atmosphere inside the mosque was filled with gratitude and reflection as members listened intently to the incredible progress, landmark successes, and spiritual prosperity achieved by the Jama’at over the past year. Gatherings like these reinforce our shared bond of brotherhood and sisterhood, leaving everyone energized and deeply motivated to continue serving Islam Ahmadiyya with renewed dedication in the year ahead.

 

Meeting with Mayor Bill Cox of McKinney

This meeting took place just a few days after Congressman Keith Self spoke about Sharia law in McKinney, making it a timely opportunity to introduce our Jama’at and clarify our beliefs and values.

Mayor Cox expressed his appreciation for our community’s humanitarian and outreach activities. He emphasized that it is important for us to introduce ourselves to the wider community, explain who we are, and distinguish our beliefs and practices from misconceptions about other Muslim groups.

The Mayor also kindly offered to help arrange future meetings with the Police Chief, the Mayor Pro Tem, and the City Manager to further strengthen our relationship with the City of McKinney.

During the meeting, we presented Mayor Cox with a copy of World Crisis and the Pathway to Peace. At his request, we also provided additional copies for the Police Chief and the Mayor Pro Tem, which he will personally deliver.

Mayor Cox expressed his interest in attending our upcoming events at the mosque, including our next Blood Drive.

Meet with Collin County Judge Chris Hill

It was an honor to meet with Collin County Judge Chris Hill. We had the opportunity to present the various initiatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community that serve and support the people of Collin County.

We also shared the true understanding of Sharia in Islam: its primary purpose is to strengthen the relationship between humanity and God while promoting justice, compassion, and peace. We explained that the Holy Qur’an and the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) teach Muslims to obey the laws of the country in which they live, to be loyal citizens, and to contribute positively to their communities.

We thank Judge Hill for his time, hospitality, and the meaningful discussion. We look forward to continuing to build bridges of understanding and working together for the betterment of our community.

Blood Drive on Saturday, July 11, 2026

We will be holding our annual Blood Drive, in partnership with the American Red Cross, on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 10AM to 4PM at Baitul Ikram Mosque.
In the light of the below mentioned Quarnic injunction, it was decided to make the best of this opportunity.

The Quranic injunction is “saving one life is likened to saving all of humanity”[5-33] One unit of blood can help save up to 3 lives.

I very humbly request all jamaat members to participate wholeheartedly in this “Sadqae Jarriya”.
We have separate space allocated for Lajna members and would especially love to see more youth participation.

Among 14 Ahmadiyya cricket teams from across the USA, Texas Tigers, representing the Dallas–Fort Worth Jamaat, have won the Masroor T20 Cricket Tournament 2026.

In a nail-biting final, Texas Tigers chased Virginia’s 206-run target in 19.4 overs.

Captain Zia Sheikh proudly lifted the championship trophy with Team members in Albany.

Eid ul-Adha in Dallas: Remembering the Legacy of Hazrat Ibrahim (as)

On the blessed occasion of Eid ul-Adha, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Dallas gathered in a spirit of worship, gratitude, and unity to commemorate the profound example of sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (as), Hazrat Hajar (as), and Prophet Ismail (as).

More than 550 members of the community attended the Eid prayer, coming together to celebrate a day that reminds believers of complete devotion and obedience to Allah. Families, friends, and neighbors shared in the joy of Eid while reflecting on the timeless lessons of faith, patience, and selflessness that this sacred occasion represents.

Following the Eid prayer, Murabbi Sahib delivered an inspiring address centered on the true meaning of sacrifice. He spoke about the extraordinary hardships endured by Hazrat Ibrahim (as) and his unwavering readiness to submit to the command of Allah, including the willingness to sacrifice his beloved son, Hazrat Ismail (as). The sermon reminded attendees that true sacrifice is not limited to material offerings, but also includes sacrificing personal desires, ego, and comfort in pursuit of righteousness and closeness to God.

Murabbi Sahib also shared beautiful sayings of the Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah, emphasizing that genuine faith requires sincerity, humility, and steadfastness during times of difficulty. His words encouraged the congregation to embody the spirit of Eid ul-Adha in their daily lives through compassion, service to humanity, and obedience to Allah.

The celebration served as a powerful reminder that the legacy of sacrifice shown by Prophet Ibrahim (as) and his family continues to inspire millions around the world today. As the community celebrated together, prayers were offered for peace, unity, and blessings for all mankind.
